EPR Properties installation of my paintings.

ArtsKC: Now Showing is a program designed to foster partnerships between individual artists and businesses by providing opportunities for metro-area artists to display their work in the conference rooms, lobbies, and office spaces of local companies.  The partnership benefits the artist who is exposed to a potential new audience, as well as the company who is exposed to new elements of creativity and inspiration.

My paintings will be on display at EPR Properties 909 Walnut until March 17th 2015. In 1997 it was added to the National Register of Historic Places.

The building was built in 1930–31 as the Fidelity National Bank & Trust Building (referred to locally as the Fidelity Building) at an estimated cost of $2,850,000, including bank fixtures.[2] The site had been a two-story post office and federal building until 1904 when Fidelity took over the site for its headquarters. The two-story building was razed in 1930. The new building mimicked the original federal twin-spire structure, in an Art Deco-Gothic Revival architectural motif. (wikipedia)

Graffiti Art in Ulaanbaatar (UB), Mongolia

Here are some samples of graffiti in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
UB is the main capital of Mongolia where about 2/3 of the 3 million people in the country live. It is the coldest capital in the world. Mongolia has a long history. Beyond what spoils Chinnghis Khan brought to the region in the 13th century, UB shows influences from Tibet, China, Russia, Soviet and more recently Western influences. For better or worse UB is rapidly growing and changing.
The graffiti shown here are more mural / art than gang related. The night club ones are at Iloft. The outdoor barrier ones were west of the downtown.
Wishing we had more time to explore more street art in UB.

ArtsKc Now Showing

6 of my larger paintings are on display in the lobby of Hangar Ten at the Charles B. Wheeler Downtown Airport, Kansas City through the Summer of 2014. Thanks to ArtsKC.org and Hangar Ten. Painting of the jet engine "Parallel Parked" is especially appropriate.
